Publishing & sharing

A form is Draft by default — only you can see it. Publishing flips it live at a public URL anyone can submit to.

Publishing a form

In the editor, click Publish in the top-right. The form's status changes to Published and the public URL becomes active. Unpublishing flips the URL off again — anyone visiting it will see a "Form not available" message.

The public URL

Every published form lives at forms.adaptensor.com/f/<slug>. The slug is generated from your form's title on first publish (e.g. Project intake becomes project-intake). If two forms share a title, the second one gets a short random suffix.

Sharing the link

Click Share in the editor to copy the URL, or just copy it from the browser address bar after clicking View. Forms doesn't track who you share the link with — anyone with the URL can submit.

What respondents see

The public page is clean and stripped down:

  • Your form title at the top.
  • For Document-style forms, your logo and Header bar render right inside the public page — so respondents see the same branded layout they'll later receive as a PDF.
  • Each field as a labelled input, in the order you set.
  • A submit button styled with your accent color.
  • A confirmation screen on submit. No Adaptensor branding gets in the way of your form.

Mobile experience

The public form is mobile-first. SIGNATURE fields support touch and stylus input on tablets and phones; FILE uploads use the platform file picker (so iOS gives you a camera shortcut, Android gives you the file tray); Date fields use the native picker on every platform.

Honeypot spam protection

Every public form ships with a built-in honeypot — an invisible field that real humans never fill out, but most spam bots will. Submissions that touch the honeypot are silently rejected. You don't need to configure anything.

Closing a form

Want to stop accepting responses but keep the data? Click Unpublish. The public URL stops working, your submissions stay intact, and you can re-publish later from the same URL.

To put the form inside your own page, see Embedding. To watch responses come in (and download per-submission PDFs), see Responses.
